Oppo A79 Officially Launched with Groundbreaking 50MP Camera
Following a few leaks a few days earlier, they have now officially unveiled the new Oppo A79 smartphone. The device is based on Dimensity 6020 SoC and comes equipped with the Android 13-based ColorOS 13.1 operating system. It offers an 8GB LPDDR4X RAM along with 128GB internal storage, expandable up to 1TB with a microSD card.
The Oppo A79 features a large 6.72-inch FullHD+ LCD with an impressive 90Hz refresh rate and Panda Glass protection. It delivers a sharp picture quality with 391 ppi pixel density and a peak brightness of 680 nits. Oppo is advertising it as a “Sunlight Display”, enhancing visibility under bright light. Additionally, the Widevine L1 certification makes it compatible for high-quality streaming on platforms like Amazon Prime and Netflix.
This new smartphone showcases three camera offerings – a 50MP main camera (Samsung ISOCELL JN1 50MP), a 2MP depth (Omnivision OV02B1B), and an 8MP front camera. It’s powered by a durable 5,000 mAh battery, and supports 33W wired charging.
Surprisingly, the Oppo A79 phones comes with noteworthy features. It escapes traditional pattern having a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It supports 5G connectivity, has an IP54 rating, USB-C, and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. Another key point is that Oppo is enhancing its audio experience. Both dual stereo speakers and an Ultra Volume Mode are included. It amplifies its volume level up to 300% for speakers and 200% for earpiece calls.
