Starbucks: White Chocolate Macadamia Drinks
One Starbucks’ Venti White Chocolate Macadamia please!
To begin, there’s the new Yuzu Passionfruit M:LK Cream (P170/tall) from Starbucks. This delightful layered beverage is made up of yuzu, a Japanese citrus known for its special zestiness; passionfruit, for a tropical touch; and Starbucks’ signature Zen Clouds Oolong tea. Starbucks then tops the cereal with a creamy cereal topper made with Starbucks’ new Plant-based M:LK Cream, which is made with oat milk and rice whipped cream and offers just enough richness to counteract the other vibrant flavors.
Do you enjoy a creamy, tasty beverage? The Macadamia White Choco Latte (P175 for a tall) can help. Starbucks’ signature espresso is included, as well as a macadamia-white chocolate syrup and whipped cream.
Our verdict on this
We had the opportunity to try it and found it to be fairly similar to their other lattes, which is ideal if you don’t want to venture too far from your usual routine. The coffee serves as a supporting character in this drink, allowing the creaminess to shine. Yes, there’s a hint of macadamia, but the delicate creaminess shows through from top to bottom. The whipped cream on top adds depth to the flavor, but whether you mix it in or spoon it up is a matter of taste. The biggest downside is that the ice dilutes the drink as you consume it, making it unsuitable for sipping leisurely.
The Macadamia White Choco Ocean Frappuccino (P180/tall) is a cream-based drink with macadamia and white chocolate tastes, as well as a dab of blueberry sugar powder for a lovely gradient effect. (At the present, this drink is only offered in a few locations; however, additional locations will be added soon!)
Starbucks has launched new and returning food options that you’ll want to taste in addition to their new drinks. The Takoyaki Bun (P105) is on the savory end of the spectrum, with chopped octopus and takoyaki sauce for added umami. You may also get a cheesy fix with the Oh My Cheesydilla (P125) or a strong yet creamy bite with the Penne alla Vodka (P185), which is penne tossed in a plant-based rich tomato sauce.
Then order the Berries and Cream Cake (P215/slice, P1,720/whole), which has a berry filling sandwiched between two layers of sponge cake, as well as whipped cream and sliced almonds for a lush-meets-fruity finish. Alternatively, try the Blackout Cake (P225 per slice, P1,800 for the entire), a chocolate-on-chocolate-on-chocolate dessert made up of layers of rich chocolate cake, chocolate fudge, and dark chocolate.
Tempted to sample these new bites and sips? You can get them delivered to your door with a few taps on your phone via delivery apps like GrabFood and Foodpanda, or you can get them at your local Starbucks. Do not forget to order Starbucks White Chocolate Macadamia.
I wonder if they have the White Ocean Frap in BGC (cause that’s the most accessible to me, hehe). Looks very interesting. Though, you sold me at “plant-based” M:LK Cream. 🙂
The Macadamia White Choco Ocean Frappuccino looks like the one I would love to try. Hope meron rin nito dito sa Melbourne!
i tried this the other day! super sarap! buti i bought the venti para na enjoy ko ng matagal while working!
Ohhh it’s sad na ngayon ko lang to nakita! Eto sana oorder ko the last time I went to Starbucks Dumaguete. I’m definitely ordering this pagpunta ko ng Manila this month 😀 That takoyaki bun looks delish!
I tried the macadamia one last weekend and i liked it! Reminds me of nutella, but yeah a bit too sweet!
I think I like the Macadamia White Choco Latte and I think the price in PH is cheaper than here in Korea. Also, I am not sure if Starbucks here has it. I might check out and try it too
Thank you for the nice comments everyone! 😀
